Erie attorney Timothy Wachter appointed to Edinboro University Council of Trustees04/14/2014
Pennsylvania Gov. Thomas Corbett has appointed Erie attorney Timothy S. Wachter to the Edinboro University Council of Trustees. His nomination was confirmed by the state Senate on March 17.
Mr. Wachter is an attorney with the Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett law firm, serving in the Governmental Practice and Public Finance groups. He previously served as an aide to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, as the Special Assistant for Special Projects to Pennsylvania Gov. Mark Schweiker, and as a Pennsylvania Site Advance Team Member for the White House during the administration of President George W. Bush. He also serves as an advisor to candidates for state, local and national offices.
Among other community involvements, he serves as President of the Board of Erie Homes for Children and Adults.
Mr. Wachter is a graduate of Gannon University and The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. He lives in Fairview, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Claire, and their three children.
The Council of Trustees is Edinboro University's governing body under the 14-university Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE).
