The Health Fair has “The First Wealth is Health” as its theme. Live demonstrations of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, martial arts, safety, and personal health and wellness will be featured.
More than 60 vendors representing local health organizations and businesses are expected to take part, offering free massages, product samples, and health and wellness information.
Last year, more than 600 attended, including Edinboro University students, faculty, staff and community members. Organizers hope to exceed that number this year.
As in previous years, Edinboro University employees who are participating in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education’s “Healthy U” program will also earn points for attending the event.
Prize baskets will be given away to attendees who visit 18 or more vendors.
During the fair, the Student Health Services staff will be collecting donations of pull tabs, used glasses and cell phones. Donated items will be returned to the community and to those in need.
Community Blood Bank also will be hosting a blood drive during the Health Fair. Attendees who donate blood and/or bring a donated item will receive additional tickets to win prize baskets.
