Edinboro University resumes ‘First Friday’ concert series September 7 at Dr. William P. Alexander Music Center
Music faculty members Patrick Jones and Kristine Denton to perform
08/30/2012EDINBORO, Pa. – The launch of a new academic year at Edinboro University also means another year of “First Friday” concerts presented by Edinboro’s talented Music Department faculty.
This semester’s opening “First Friday” concert will be held September 7 from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. in the Dr. William P. Alexander Music Center’s Recital Hall. The month’s lunchtime concert event features Music Department faculty members Patrick Jones on saxophone and Kristine Denton on piano, performing the works of Fox, Schumann and Matitia.
Edinboro’s “First Friday” concerts are a long-standing tradition on campus. They take place on the first Friday of the months school is in session and always feature the University Music Department faculty members.
The concerts are free and open to the public.
