EU collaborates in creation of Veterans Portal of Northwestern Pa.

08/07/2014

Collaboratively, United Way of Erie County, Erie Together, Gannon University and Edinboro University have worked to launch an updated comprehensive human service directory and companion veterans portal for Erie County.

The Veterans Portal of Northwestern Pa., spearheaded by Jay Breneman, Coordinator for the Edinboro University Veterans Success Center, serves as a single-point resource for all veterans, family members, and service providers in the region, with the goal of improving the lives of the men and women who served our great country.

The collaboration between Edinboro University’s Veterans Success Center, area veteran organizations, United Way of Erie County and Erie Together brings together one voice in recognizing the value our veterans bring to our communities and provides a great tool to help our veterans succeed.

The Human Service Directory is a signature project of Erie-GAINS (Gannon Alliances to Improve Neighborhood Sustainability) that is reciprocal in nature, with benefits to both the community and the students who have worked on the project. The directory is available online at no cost. Printed copies of the 300+ page directory are $40 each and can be ordered by emailing hsd@gannon.edu.
