Exercise Club volunteers safe following Boston Marathon explosion04/15/2013
Fourteen student members of the Edinboro University Exercise Club and a faculty advisor who were volunteering at the Boston Marathon today were unharmed when explosions occurred near the finish line.
All 15 in the Edinboro group are accounted for and safe. Student Affairs officials have notified the students’ families that they are safe and are working to get the club members back to campus.
Officials in Boston have confirmed that two blasts occurred at about 2:45 p.m., killing two people and injuring numerous others. The Edinboro University community joins the nation in keeping the injured, the families of the dead, and others affected by the tragedy in our thoughts.
