Edinboro University to host informational event for Fulbright international exchange program02/17/2014
Edinboro University will host the Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania (WNY/NWPA) Chapter of the Fulbright Association spring conference on April 4. Area college and university faculty, students, staff and administrators, as well as teachers from the region’s high schools, are invited to attend and learn about Fulbright’s international exchange programs.
Participants at “Fulbright Programs: Small Campus, Big World” will obtain information on short- and long-term Fulbright grant opportunities available in more than 130 countries, learn how to select countries to apply to and make contacts abroad, and receive advice on how to prepare a competitive Fulbright grant application
Dr. Charles Brock, senior research associate in Religious Studies at Penn State Behrend, will speak at the conference, and members of the Board of Directors of the WNY/NWPA Chapter of the Fulbright Association will share their Fulbright educational experiences and respond to questions from the audience. Conference attendees can learn more about the application process through breakout sessions.
The conference will be held in Room 134 of Butterfield Hall, 310 Scotland Road, on the Edinboro campus. Registration and lunch will be held at noon, with the program running 1-4 p.m.
