A cappella group ‘Ball in the House’ to close out Edinboro University’s 2011-12 Performing Arts Series

EDINBORO, Pa. – On Thursday, April 12, Edinboro University’s historical Louis C. Cole Auditorium-Memorial Hall will be filled with the sounds of the Boston-based a cappella group, “Ball in the House.” The group represents the finale performance of Edinboro’s highly successful 2011-12 Performing Arts Series.
The five-member “Ball in the House” blends a wide range of musical influences into its act. Its repertoire ranges from classic R&B to pop, hip-hop and gospel.
Following in the path of classic harmony groups such as Boyz II Men, The Temptations and Take 6, “Ball in the House” has released four CDs, including a Christmas album. “Ball in the House” has reached millions across the nation through tours and TV appearances on popular shows, including “America’s Got Talent” and “The Today Show.” The group has appeared on stage with artists such as The Beach Boys, Gladys Knight, The Jonas Brothers, Jessica Simpson, Fantasia, Blondie, The Temptations and many others.
Edinboro University’s annual Performing Arts Series has a long-standing tradition of bringing the best entertainment available to campus, hosting world-class artists and groups, including renowned musicians and other performers.
General admission tickets for Performing Arts Series concerts are $10; faculty and staff tickets are $5; and admission is free to all Edinboro University students. Tickets are available at the Student Government Association’s Convenience Store in the Frank G. Pogue Student Center, online at www.edinborotickets.com, or at the door.
All PAS performances take place at Cole Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
