Proceeds will help to fund local site05/04/2012
EDINBORO, Pa – Tonight, the National Writing Project of Edinboro University will host a “Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre” at the Zem Zem Shrine Club to raise money for the local NWP site.
The comedy team will present “Till Death Do We Part,” a matrimonial murder mystery, with the evening beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The National Writing Project is an educational network with over 200 sites throughout the United States. The local site, PennLake, is housed at Edinboro University. Site instructors strive to enhance the writing of students in grades kindergarten through high school by working with teachers to improve the instruction of writing in the local schools. The local site was one of ten new sites established in 2009 and services the northwest region of Pennsylvania.
Federally supported for over 30 years, the National Writing Project network’s funding was recently cut from the federal budget. Tonight’s dinner theatre event will serve as a fund-raiser for the local site.
Tickets are $30 and still available. For more information, contact Dr. Jo Holtz, Program Director of Middle and Secondary Instruction in the Department of Elementary, Middle and Secondary Education at firstname.lastname@example.org. Checks can be made payable to PennLake NWP.
