Edinboro University seeks nomination for 2014 Martin Luther King Jr. Awards10/31/2013
Individuals whose contributions to society reflect the spirit, philosophy and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are being sought as nominees for Edinboro University’s 18th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Awards.
Nominations are now being accepted for the MLK Awards, which will be presented during Edinboro University’s annual awards luncheon on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014. Several dozen prominent residents of northwestern Pennsylvania have been honored by the University since the awards program began in 1997.
Nominations must contain a narrative description of the candidate’s achievements and contributions to society, including specific examples. Achievements and contributions must be reflective of Dr. King’s philosophy and teachings, in particular in the areas of social justice, social activism or peace initiatives.
Nominations also should include the candidate’s career profile or resume, and complete contact information for both the nominee and the nominator.

To be eligible for consideration, nominations must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013.
