Edinboro University to continue ‘On the Spot’ admissions program11/07/2013
Future Edinboro University students can get on the fast track to academic success during an “On the Spot” admissions event on Thursday, Nov. 21. Instead of waiting to begin their Edinboro education, participants in the program can wrap up the application process in time for the start of the spring semester.
The “On the Spot” program will be held in the Admissions Office in Academy Hall, 200 East Normal Street, Edinboro, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Students with applications on file can bring their missing credentials to the Admissions Office and receive an admission decision before they leave campus. Those who have not yet applied can complete an application, and if they bring copies of their transcripts and SAT/ACT test scores, they too can receive an “On the Spot” admissions decision. Applications for both the spring 2014 and fall 2014 semesters will be processed.
Director of Admissions Craig Grooms said the “On the Spot” program was created in response to the needs of students, who are often pressed for time in the lead-up to the academic year.
“The On the Spot admission program is an opportunity for students to bring official copies of their transcripts and test scores to the Admissions Office and receive a decision on the spot. The accelerated admission process is ideal for potential students who are getting a late start on the process or have recently decided to attend school,” Grooms said. “The initiative gives Edinboro University the ability to be responsive to the needs of our students and community.”
