Bill Berger joins Edinboro University’s Communications & Marketing Team

Associate Director for Creative Services


Bill BergerEDINBORO, Pa. – Bill Berger, a well-known regional creative talent and marketing director, recently joined the Edinboro University Communications and Marketing Department as the Associate Director for Creative Services.

Berger comes to Edinboro after 21 years at Bensur Creative Marketing Group in Erie, Pa., where he served as a graphic designer, art director and creative director.

“Edinboro University is extremely lucky to have Bill on our Marketing team,” said Tina Mengine, Vice President for University Advancement. “He brings a wealth of experience and talent that we are confident will help us showcase the University and its many attributes.”

Berger has vast experience creating and designing for print, web and multi-media for a wide variety of industries, including food and beverage, industry, healthcare, education, public utilities, and non-profit groups. He also has extensive expertise in developing marketing strategies, managing staff, copy writing, and video production.

At Edinboro, he will oversee a variety of marketing projects, as well as all University publications, print, electronic and new media.

“My career thus far has been very rewarding and full of tremendous opportunities, and I owe much of that to the education I received at Edinboro University,” Berger said. “It is an honor to now return to Edinboro and join a great team of people representing this outstanding University.”

Berger attended Edinboro as a student enrolled in the Honors Program, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Applied Media Arts in 1991.

He is married to the former Jennifer Renn, also an Edinboro alumna, and they are the parents of three children, ages 13, 11 and five.

His community volunteer work incudes youth sports coaching at the Erie County YMCA, the McLane Little League, and EYSA Soccer. He also does volunteer work for various sports booster clubs at General McLane High School.

A native and current resident of Edinboro, his favorite activities include spending time with his family and friends, attending sporting events and enjoying the outdoors.
