Dr. Scott E. Miller, an Edinboro University administrator who joined the University faculty in 2010, has been named the Dean of EU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS).
Miller, who served as the Interim Dean of the CAHSS since 2015, will work with department chairs and faculty to lead strategic planning, budgeting and curriculum development for the College. He will continue his role as Dean of the School of Business, which he has held since 2012, in addition to his responsibilities in CAHSS.
Miller has published his research in various national and international peer-reviewed journals. In addition, Miller is an active CPA and attorney and continues to teach by serving as a doctoral lecturer and dissertation advisor.
Miller is a regular contributor to civic and arts organizations throughout the region, serving as the vice president and general counsel of the Erie Philharmonic, the vice chair of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center Foundation and board member for Innovation Collaborative in Erie. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Hemophilia Foundation in New York City and on the Advisory Board for Ignite Erie.
Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Gannon University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School Of Law and a Doctor of Business Administration in Accounting from Anderson University. He also holds a certificate from the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
