A message from President Walker on DACA

Edinboro University is committed to meeting the needs of all our students while providing a high-quality and affordable learning experience. We also serve as advocates for our students who come from diverse backgrounds across the entire globe.

All students enrolled at EU are integral to the success of our University, and we are committed to strongly supporting the well-being of all students as they participate in the EU experience. We are also committed to creating opportunities for intellectual and personal growth in an inclusive environment for every student.

We will continue to work with local and regional legislators to determine how this decision regarding DACA will affect EU students. Our Global Education Office (GEO) is also in close contact with government agencies and other universities and will share the latest information as it becomes available. GEO provides support for international students attending EU. EU representatives can be reached at (814) 732-2770 or by email at globaled@edinboro.edu.

Our university has additional excellent resources to assist those who have questions or concerns or need support, including:

          • The Office of Social Equity, which fosters a learning and working environment in which all students, faculty and staff feel respected and supported, (814) 732-2167; email: equalopportunity@edinboro.edu
          • The Center for Diversity and Inclusion, which promotes civility, respect and sensitivity on our campus, (814) 732-2912; email Pertrina Marrero: pmarrero@edinboro.edu

          Respectfully,

          Fred Walker, President
