Edinboro University's Porreco College
In the past, being skilled in your trade was all you needed. But in today’s competitive environment, employers want individuals with advanced knowledge and training.
EU’s Associate of Applied Science degree gives technically skilled workers the broader background needed to advance in their fields while addressing the region’s need for a better-educated workforce.
Valuable, transferable skills and a degree from a nationally accredited university make the Associate of Applied Science in Applied Technology the ideal next step in your path up the career ladder.
The AAS program provides the advanced knowledge and training needed to prepare you for occupations such as engineering technician, industry team leader, quality coordinator, new product development coordinator and sales specialist, among others.
The program is open to students who have completed technical training at an approved institution* within the last five years, or who plan to complete the technical training as their first postsecondary educational experience.
Up to 27 credits of the program’s 60-credit total requirement can be awarded for diploma or certificate training at an approved technical school. Most programs completed at Erie Institute of Technology and the Precision Manufacturing Institute are awarded 27 transfer credits.
The program is designed to be completed in two years or less. However, it depends on how many credits you are able to enroll in each semester and how many credits you transfer in for technical training. For more information, read the full list of curriculum requirements.
