Located just outside the city of Erie on 26 acres in Millcreek Township, Porreco College is committed to providing individual attention to student success through college preparatory coursework, academic programs, and continuing education designed to meet the educational needs of students, employers, and the community at large.

Porreco College offers associate degrees and certificate programs that will prepare you for employment or to continue your education at a four-year college at a fraction of the cost of many other colleges and universities.

The Porreco Promise


The cost for Erie County residents to attend Porreco College full-time while seeking a degree or certificate is less than $2,400 per semester.* Part-time students pay even less, and all students who qualify may receive additional financial aid. 

This cost is possible with the establishment of the Porreco Promise. For any Erie County resident attending full-time and seeking a degree or certificate at Porreco College, the Porreco Promise provides a yearly grant of $3,340 per student with a completed FAFSA and after all other gift aid is applied. Grants also are available for part-time Erie County students who are enrolled in a degree or certificate program and taking at least 6 credits.

This endowment is funded through private donations and will ensure students can be served for decades to come. More Information

Certificates


Certificate in Customer Relations Management

The certificate in Customer Relations Management provides students with the basic skills and knowledge to perform key roles in managing customer relations for profit and nonprofit organizations. Areas of learning and skill development include communication, sales, and conflict management. The program also trains students to be critical thinkers and problem-solvers in a dynamic and fast-changing workplace, learning to effectively speak, write, create, and persuade – all of which are identified as important life-long skills by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). The program is designed to be completed in two semesters followed by a six-hour summer internship in customer relations.

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Applied Technology
Department: Physics & Technology

The Associate of Applied Science in Applied Technology program was developed to provide technically skilled workers with the broader background needed to advance in their fields while addressing the region’s need for a better-educated workforce. The program is designed to be a two-year terminal degree, and allows students who already possess technical training to acquire applied skills in quality control and technical reasoning. The program combines training in specialized technology and business administration to prepare graduates for careers in engineering technology leadership. Some courses are transferable to related majors, such as the Associate of Engineering Technology and the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Administration.

Associate of Arts Degree in Human Services – Social Services
Department: Sociology

The goal of the Associate of Arts in Human Services program is to educate, in two years, a generalist professional worker who can move into a wide range of mental health, human services, social services, community action, and social justice careers. Program faculty not only teach about the ideals of the human services profession, but also model and practice them as they engage with students both in and out of the classroom and in professional settings across our communities.

Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies
Department: English & Liberal Studies

The Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in Liberal Studies is designed to meet the needs of students seeking a two-year degree program of higher education and accompanying credentials. It aims to educate students to communicate effectively, to think both creatively and critically, and to work across disciplines. It allows the student to have choices and flexibility in designing a concentration that meets their individual career goals and objectives. Students can organize a program of study that is both personally interesting and professionally relevant. Equipped with these highly transferrable skills, students can pursue a wide range of career paths or move into a Bachelor degree program. It can be used to improve their current employment standing or to find entry into careers in social services, government and business.

The Associate of Science in Business Administration is a strong program designed to provide aspiring business students with an understanding of core business concepts and uniquely prepare them to advance in business careers. This two-year program provides students with fundamental knowledge in economics, accounting, finance, management and marketing, as well as a strong theoretical foundation that is complemented by a solid practical understanding of business.
