Anthony J. Pirrello


Anthony PirrelloAnthony Pirrello was named to the Council of Trustees in October 2016.

Mr. Pirrello earned a number of degrees and certifications at Edinboro University, including a Bachelor of Arts in History, Master of Education, certification in Secondary Education - Social Studies, certification in Educational Leadership (Principal) and his Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility. He recently was accepted into the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program offered jointly by Millersville and Shippensburg Universities.

He is in his 11th year as Chief Executive Officer of the Montessori Regional Charter School, a K-6th grade elementary school in Erie that is recognized as one of the top schools in Pennsylvania, scoring in the top 5% for student progress. He has worked in the field of education for 20 years, including 10 years in the School District of the City of Erie.

An active member of the community, Mr. Pirrello volunteers on advisory groups at both Edinboro University and Gannon University and serves as vice president of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter School's Board of Trustees (PCPCS). He has also served on the board of Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority and currently hosts the radio show "Festa Italiana" monthly on 90.5 WERG-FM.

Mr. Pirrello is married to Carol (Hilla) Pirrello, whom he met while both were attending Edinboro University, and has three school-age children: Allison, Elizabeth, and Anthony II.
