Find your niche in environmental science with this interdisciplinary Geography program.

Are you passionate about the environment and love spending time in the outdoors? Do you want to make a difference in our local and global communities? Do you want to learn sound, scientific principles to develop creative solutions to environmental problems? Our Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies may be the ideal major for you.

This Geography program takes an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on the interactions between the physical environment and the human use of the earth. It allows you to choose from a wide range of electives, with coursework in geography, geology, biology and geographic information systems.

While you’re at Edinboro, you’ll learn from the best. Our faculty are teachers first and foremost. But they also research fascinating topics that range from forest geography, invasive species, environmental planning and our local lake-effect snow. They serve as mentors and guides, helping you select field work that will set you apart, whether it’s at nearby French Creek or in China, the Rocky Mountains or Hawaii.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment of environmental scientists will grow faster than average due to heightened public interest in environmental hazards and continuous population growth.
