4+1 MACS

4 + 1 Master of Communication Studies (MACS)

Enroll in any undergraduate program at PennWest Edinboro and earn your bachelor’s and accelerated master's in Communication Studies in just five years.

Why Edinboro Stands Out.

With the Accelerated 4+1 program, you can reach your goal in less time, for less money.

Start by completing three years in one of Edinboro's undergraduate programs, then apply for conditional acceptance into the Master of Arts Communication Studies (MACS) program. Once accepted, your first year as a MACS student will give you the credits needed to complete your bachelor’s degree and will count toward the first year of your master’s degree.

By earning both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees in just five years, you will pay the undergraduate tuition rate for your first year of graduate school. That means you will save both time and money and will graduate prepared for an exciting career in the field of communication.

Edinboro’s MACS is flexible, allowing you to complete the program fully online or in a campus-based/online hybrid program. You will also have the option to customize your degree by participating in an external internship or by completing a master’s thesis or practicum.
