Edinboro's Associate of Science in Pre-Pharmacy puts you on the fast track to becoming a pharmacist. Instead of spending four years of undergraduate school and four years of professional school to earn your Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, this associate degree prepares you for acceptance into highly ranked pharmacy schools in Pennsylvania or around the country in just two or three years.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for pharmacists is good due to a continuing increase in the demand for prescription medications.

Your Future

Here's what you need to do to become a pharmacist in six to seven years:

  • Complete our accelerated Pre-Pharmacy program in two or three years.
  • Enroll in a three/four-year professional Pharmacy program.
  • Participate in externship experiences that are offered through your professional Pharmacy school.
  • Graduate with your PharmD degree.
  • Pass licensing exams required by Pennsylvania or the state in which you want to work.
