In the School of Business and Economics at Edinboro University, you'll learn in small classes taught by faculty with professional experience. They will help you gain a sound understanding of topics like money and banking, investment analysis and federal income tax regulations. They will also provide insight into the diversified functions of business, from accounting and economics to finance, marketing and business law.
After completing the program, you'll be ready to help individuals make educated financial
decisions on a wide range of topics, from mortgages and insurance to college and estate
planning, taxes and retirement.

As a Personal Financial Planning major at Edinboro, you can become an IRS-certified tax preparer and provide a service to your community by volunteering to help low-income residents prepare their income taxes through the Erie FREE Taxes program.

advisors is projected to grow 14% from now to 2026, faster than the average for all
occupations.
Upon completion of the Personal Financial Planning program, you’ll be prepared to study for your CFP exam and find employment in personal financial planning firms, banks, insurance companies and other commercial enterprises.
