As a Personal Financial Planning major at Edinboro, you can become an IRS-certified tax preparer and provide a service to your community by volunteering to help low-income residents prepare their income taxes through the Erie FREE Taxes program.

You will also earn valuable internships at personal financial planning firms and financial service companies and will have the opportunity to participate in faculty-led trips to career fairs and professional conferences. Recent trips include:

  • Financial Planning Association's Annual Conference in Minneapolis, MN
  • Vanguard EXPLORE Day in Malvern, PA
  • FPA NCA Career Day near Washington, DC
  • CFA Society of Pittsburgh's Career Fair in Pittsburgh, PA
