Music and Theatre
Covid-19: We have been successfully teaching lessons via Zoom, Skype or other on-line platforms since March of this year, due to the virus. Edinboro University policy mandates that all fall 2020 music lessons be taught on line. We shall return to in-person teaching as soon as policy allows. Alexander Music Center building will be closed all this year, and the CMS office will be managed from off campus, not in person. Please convey your questions, requests and registrations via the on-line url and/or email: LWistrom@edinboro.edu. Thank you!
Lessons in Guitar, Voice, Piano, Suzuki Piano, Suzuki Violin, Violin, Viola, Flute, Saxophone, Recorder, Percussion, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba are available and are taught via Zoom or other on line programs. Partial tuition scholarships may be available.
Dates and Times - The day and time of your lesson is determined by mutual agreement between you and your teacher. Please contact LWistrom@edinboro.edu to be connected with a teacher, and for information on that teacher’s tuition rate.
Scholarship assistance – There are limited funds to assist needy students with partial tuition, thanks to the Dougie Bleu Horton Memorial Scholarship fund. Please see the flyer for details, and make sure to complete all three steps by the January 23 deadline for consideration. Late applications for scholarship may be considered as funds allow.
Recitals – shall take place at the end of Spring Semester via Zoom. Should COVID-19 restrictions be lifted, Recitals may take place in Alexander Music Center’s Recital Hall.
