Why Study Biology and the Health Sciences at Edinboro University?
In the Department of Biology and Health Sciences, our mission is to prepare students
for a wide variety of entry level biology positions, as well as graduate work in biologically
related master's and doctoral programs.
Students may pursue a wide variety of pathways including biological research, health
care, environmental management, wildlife conservation and education to teach at the
university or K-12 level, or serve as a naturalist in science museums, zoos, aquariums,
parks and nature centers.
Degree programs may be combined with other fields that lead to careers in biotechnology,
forensic science, politics, business, economics, mathematics (bioinformatics), scientific
writing and scientific illustration.
