As part of the accreditation process, PennWest Edinboro submitted a self-study report
in February of 2019. The purpose of this report was to show that PennWest Edinboro’s
educator preparation programs meet the standards set forth by CAEP. The self-study
report was the first source of information for the CAEP site team, and the Addendum
was the second source of information provided to the site team, prior to the official
site visit. The Self-Study was submitted in February 2019 and with the Addendum being
submitted in October of 2019. The site visit occurred in November of 2019.
In April of 2020 the Accreditation Council of the Council for the Accreditation of
Educator Preparation (CAEP) met and granted accreditation to both initial and advanced
level programs at PennWest Edinboro.
