Everyone states that the most meaningful years in your life are experienced in college, and I can fully attest to this phrase. Throughout my four years at Edinboro University, I have learned so many valuable lessons about myself, my career and my relationships that will stick with me for the rest of my life.
Through participation in various clubs and activities, I have learned numerous life skills such as balance, prioritization and time management. Every year, I found myself growing more and more, wanting to search for new opportunities, experiences and tasks to broaden my horizons. Not only did Edinboro prepare me academically, but it provided me a place to strive socially. From my multiple extracurricular undertakings in the Delta Zeta sorority, the Honors Program, Circle K, Student Nurses of Edinboro (SNOE), Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society, working as a Peer Advisor and the Order of Omega Honors Fraternity, I expanded my communications skills outside of the classroom and my major.
After all of my hard work and dedication, I am proud to say that I am graduating this May with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing with minors in Biology and Psychology. After graduation, I plan on working at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh on their Medical/NICU overflow unit as a Registered Nurse. Words alone are not enough to thank everyone here at Edinboro University for pushing me to become my best self. I would not be here today without the love and support from attending this university, and I honored to call myself a soon-to-be alumna. Go Scots!!
