Edinboro University’s Veterans Success Center boasts many accomplishments in its effort to build community, provide key resources, and support student veterans as they work toward achieving their educational goals.
Partnered with the VA to provide Telehealth virtual medical appointments on campus, reducing the need for student veterans to miss classes or their VA appointments.
Started a Veterans Music program, providing free musical lessons to student veterans and dependents.
Partnered with an area veterans organization to regularly provide a Service Officer on-campus to assist veterans with their VA medical and educational claims.
Became a lifetime Chapter member of the SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society.
Co-coordinated the annual 5k Run/Walk for Warriors event with the Military Officers Association of America for the sixth year in a row.
Earned recognition from Military Times as among the top 100 Best for Vets colleges nationwide in 2015, 2018, and 2019.
Earned recognition from GI Jobs as a Military Friendly School for the 9th year in a row and earned special recognition as a Gold Status school.
Earned recognition from Military Advanced Education as a Top School in the 2018 MAE Guide to Colleges & Universities.
Hosted the 1st annual (Not So) Mandatory Fun Day for student veterans at Presque Isle State Park.
Collaborated with area veteran organizations, the United Way of Erie County, and Erie Together, in creating the Veterans Portal of Northwestern PA, a single-point resource for all veterans, family members and service providers in the region.
