Following a rigorous review process, Edinboro University’s Financial Services Program has been renewed for registration with the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board of Standards.
Among the program’s strengths identified in the review process were the expertise and experience of the faculty and the rigor of exams and other assessments of students’ knowledge of financial planning topics.
“This important designation of our program is recognition of the high-quality faculty and programming offered by the Financial Services Program and the School of Business, more broadly,” said Scott E. Miller, CPA, DBA, Dean of the School of Business. “These types of registrations and accreditations, coupled with our School of Business’ 100% placement rate for the last two years (the first two years we collected data on placement), validate that the faculty and programs in the School of Business are quite competitive, meeting our mission of admitting and graduating the highest quality students to meet the needs of the broader region.”
Students enrolled in Edinboro’s Financial Services Program earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Services. Their coursework and related experiences prepares them to work with individuals needing savings, investment, retirement and estate planning, and with organizations needing financial management and benefits program planning. Careers include positions such as personal financial planners, investment analysts and stock brokers.
