Edinboro University’s Fighting Scots Battalion welcomed Lieutenant Colonel Colby Krug to the cadre last week as the next commander of the ROTC program and a professor of military science.
The Buffalo, N.Y., native earned his commissioning through ROTC and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Bonaventure University. Most recently, LTC Krug served as facility engineer in Fort Belvoir, Va.
Krug arrives in Edinboro with his wife, Erin, and two children, Chloe, 9, and Jack, 7.
“I am excited for the opportunity to shape the future of students at Edinboro and the Officer Corps of our nation’s Army through a healthy ROTC experience,” Krug said. “Every member of our team has the ability to learn, grow and become better versions of themselves.”
LTC Benjamin Kavanagh, who will complete his assigned tenure at Edinboro at the end of June, will assume the role of brigade executive officer at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey. Best wishes to LTC Kavanagh and his family. Thank you for your many contributions to Edinboro!
Edinboro University will host a formal introduction of LTC. Krug later this summer. For questions about Edinboro’s ROTC program, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
