Updates to Spring Semester COVID Guidelines

Updates information on masking and COVID protocols

In light of the latest CDC guidelines regarding masking, the university is updating its mask guidelines for the Spring 2022 semester. Masking remains key to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and the prevalence of the highly transmissible omicron variant makes this even more critical. We are all responsible to each other to maintain on-campus classes and a safe environment for all.

Our guidance on masking is updated as follows:

The safety of students who are living in our residence halls is a priority. If a resident tests positive for COVID-19, we recommend that the student isolate at home until they are able to return safely.

We recognize there may be extenuating circumstances. Our Housing and Residence Life staff will contact each student who tests positive to discuss their situation. Our goal is to minimize the risk of community spread, but we will consider each individual circumstance to best assist students.
