EU Shield Safety App and Mass-Notification System

Edinboro University’s EU Shield emergency notification system can increase safety on the EU campus by putting time-sensitive messages and emergency procedures at your fingertips wherever you are. It ensures that you not only know what is happening, but how to respond.

EU Shield enables Edinboro University to send important campus information to you via text messages, email, Facebook and Twitter, the University’s website, and the Campus Cable TV system.

The EU Shield safety app is available for free to anyone who would like to use it. Download it today at Google Play and Apple App Store.

To ensure that the app's "Emergency" button is fully effective in aiding police with locating you in an emergency, it is important for new and existing users to be certain they have enabled location services within the application.

Students are automatically enrolled to receive emergency text messages and emails. It is strongly recommended that all employees register. This service is completely voluntary. You may opt-out at any time. You are responsible for messaging charges by your service provider. Your information is not shared with or sold to third parties.

Registration and account management are available using the EU Shield button in the myEdinboro launchpad.

EU Shield also has a voice service available so that alerts can be received as speech messages. To request speech message alerts, contact the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) at (814) 732-2462.
