Kathy L. Pape was named to the Edinboro University Council of Trustees in 2012.
A 1975 Edinboro University alumna with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Ms. Pape earned a Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law and an LLM in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law. She is an attorney at McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC, where she works in the financial services and public finance practices.
A nationally recognized expert on the water and wastewater industries, Ms. Pape previously served as president of Pennsylvania American Water, the largest regulated water and wastewater utility in the commonwealth, and senior vice president of American Water’s Mid-Atlantic division.
Her numerous additional community and business involvements include serving on the boards of Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, the Earth Conservancy, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (Central PA Chapter) and Hampden Township Industrial Development Authority. Ms. Pape is a past chair of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Water Companies, and served on the Finance Council of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Board of Trustees of Gwynedd Mercy Academy. She was the first woman elected to chair the Pennsylvania Business Council board of directors.
Ms. Pape was named to Central Penn Business Journal’s “Women of Influence” list in 2010, and she was selected as one of the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal’s Top 25 Women in Business in 2011.
She is the proud mother of three children and resides with her husband in Hampden Township, Pennsylvania.
