Timothy S. Wachter became a member of the Edinboro University Council of Trustees in March 2014.

A graduate of Gannon University and The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, he is an attorney at the Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett law firm in Erie, Pennsylvania. His practice is focused on representing governmental entities, municipalities, school districts, authorities and special purpose entities, public finance and representing private industry in its interactions with government.

Mr. Wachter previously served as an aide to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, as the Special Assistant for Special Projects to Pennsylvania Gov. Mark Schweiker, and as a Pennsylvania Site Advance Team Member for the White House during the administration of President George W. Bush. He also worked as an Economic Development Analyst at the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic development and has served as an advisor to candidates for state, local and national offices.

Mr. Wachter currently serves as President of the Board of Erie Homes for Children and Adults, and as a board member, and immediate past president of the board, for the Erie Downtown Partnership.

He was a recipient of the 2008 Generation E Award presented by Young Erie Professionals and was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2013.

Mr. Wachter and his wife, Claire, are the parents of three young children.
