Mr. Shaquan Walker

Shaquan Walker has been the student member of the Edinboro University Council of Trustees since August 2013.

Mr. Walker is a junior pursuing dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice with minors in Psychology and Political Science. Following the completion of those degrees, he plans to pursue a master’s degree in Public and Social Policy.

The Greenville, Pennsylvania, native is as an on-campus Resident Assistant, Highland Ambassador and a member of the Student Government Association. In July 2013, he traveled to Washington, D.C., as part of a four-student delegation from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) to meet with U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan to discuss educational and financial aid policy at the federal level.

Mr. Walker in May 2012 received the ALANI Gold Award, presented by EU Multicultural Affairs to a minority student who receives a GPA of 3.7 or higher.

He is the son of Amy Hatfield and William Walker, and he has two sisters.
