The Bachelor of Science in Psychology is designed to serve the student seeking a terminal liberal arts degree, as well as the student who is preparing for graduate training in psychology or allied fields. Many career opportunities exist in mental health, schools, business and industry, the non-profit sector, as well as in government service for program graduates. Three concentrations are available within the BSPS: Applied Mental, Applied Developmental and Custom Focus.
The Applied Mental Health concentration is for those students interested in theoretical issues, research, and clinical/therapeutic applications related to adult mental health. This concentration prepares students for employment in areas whose emphasis involves adults as well as establishing a strong foundation for graduate work in related areas.
