Communication Studies

The Department of Communication Studies is among the most active and visible components of Edinboro University and one of the top communication programs in the region. The Department prepares students for a variety of careers in the field of communication and for graduate study in the discipline.

Department faculty possess a broad range of academic credentials and more than 50 years of combined professional and teaching experience. Students graduate equipped with the education necessary to excel in some of the most interesting, emergent and scholarly career fields in our fast-moving media age, including international and intercultural communication, legal communication, mediation and dispute resolution, political communication and much more, and are able to synthesize complex information and communicate it clearly and succinctly, which is relevant to virtually any career situation – and is a central tenet of a liberal arts education.
