Academy participants gain business acumen through immersive seminars focused on team building, business strategy, management, finance, marketing, problem-solving, communication, and financial literacy, including financial planning for college. Participants will work with high-achieving Edinboro University business students and meet with faculty from the Edinboro University School of Business, as well as regional business leaders. This year’s Xavier and Tina Williams Summer Youth Business Academy is hosted by the Edinboro University School of Business and will be held at the Edinboro University campus June 9 - 13, 2019.
The Xavier and Tina Williams Summer Youth Business Academy is open to students entering 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Applicants should have an interest in business or a related field and in developing leadership skills.
Applying: To be fully considered for participation in the program, students must submit a Student Application form by March 22, 2019. A teacher or guidance counselor must also nominate the student. The Teacher/Guidance Counselor Recommendation Form can be mailed, faxed, or emailed and should be received by March 22, 2019.
Cost/Scholarship Information: Through the generosity of our benefactor, scholarships will be available to cover the $895 cost for each student selected for participation in the Academy.
Housing: Participants will be required to be housed in one of Edinboro University's campus residence halls during the Academy. The cost of this residency is included in the participant's scholarship.
