Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society
Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is a national biological honor society for students dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research (© Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society, 2001). It was founded in 1922. Since then, nearly 200,000 people have become lifetime members, and more than 430 chapters exist throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. It is mostly comprised of undergraduate students, but graduate students may also become members.
Although we have direct ties to the BBB National Organization, we have a local chapter which meets here at Edinboro University. Our local chapter is the Alpha Chi chapter, and is co-advised by Drs. Ashley and Thumser. This is a great way to get involved with other students that share your passion for the biological sciences!!
