- Communication and Media Studies Alumni
Department graduates are enjoying a wide range of professional success all around the world. To showcase the success of our alumni, the department has created a Communication and Media Studies Wall of Fame outside of our new Campus Media Center in Compton Hall. Our alumni have enthusiastically responded to this new initiative by contributing $250 each to purchase a personal name plaque that is featured on the wall, with the proceeds going to a new Friends of Communication fund which directly benefits the department and our students. To purchase a name plaque, please click here: Friends of Communication
To update the department on your career achievements, please e-mail Dr. Tony Peyronel, department chair, at apeyronel@edinboro.edu

Pictured in front of the new wall are some of the alumni participants who attended a special event held on campus in their honor on April 21. They are, from left, Patricia Kennedy (Erie County chief public defender); Mike “Lou Baxter” Shoop (news director at JET 24 and FOX 66); Kim Thomas (news anchor at JET 24); Mary Timashenka (multimedia marketing consultant at JET 24 and YourErie.com); Alyson Amendola Cummings (executive director of the Erie County Historical Society); Matthew Cummings (an instructor of Integrated Marketing Communications at West Virginia University); Jim Wertz (owner/creative director of Incline Media and an adjunct faculty member at Edinboro University); Josh Tysiachney (marketing associate for Arts & Sciences at John Carroll University); and Emily Sinsabaugh (vice president for university relations at St. Bonaventure University).
