Provost's Letter

A Greeting from Edinboro University Provost, Dr. Philip E. Ginnetti

Dear Edinboro University Student:

Greetings and welcome to Edinboro University, where our motto – “Great Things Happen Here!” – is much more than a mere catch-phrase or tagline. You’ll find it’s a daily fact of life as you immerse yourself in what we proudly call “The Edinboro Experience.”

This “Edinboro Experience” entails a program of academic excellence that prepares our students not only for their first jobs, but also for their second and third jobs as well – and, believe it or not, for jobs that do not yet even exist, but will be there when you graduate in four years!

Yes, “The Edinboro Experience” at the region’s largest and most comprehensive institution of higher education means that excellence goes beyond the superior education you’ll find in our classrooms, laboratories, art studios and libraries. It’s also what you will experience in our residence and dining halls, sparkling new facilities, cultural, recreational and athletic venues, and more than 200 campus clubs and organizations beckoning for your participation. It truly is a total college experience you are embarking upon, and a journey we shall share together.

Starting now, you will find our 800 dedicated faculty and staff members, working together as a single team, are wholly committed to your success. Your obligation, then – and our challenge to you – will be to avail yourself of the many opportunities “The Edinboro Experience” offers to every student. If you accept this challenge unconditionally and without reservations, I promise “The Edinboro Experience” will make great things happen for you!

On behalf of Edinboro’s Council of Trustees, our faculty and staff and returning students, welcome to “The Edinboro Experience”!

Sincerely,

Philip E. Ginnetti, Ph.D.
