Over the years, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania students have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars and hours of service to northwestern Pennsylvania. Community service and volunteer work are expectations of students at Edinboro University. The Community Outreach Center has established opportunities for students to get involved in community service projects. Students are trained for service, are appraised of volunteer opportunities, work as volunteers on campus and in the community at large, reflect on the service and document service hours through this center. Faculty members are also made aware of service learning opportunities for their classes. This is one more way the University, students, and the community work together to create a more positive living/learning environment for the greater Edinboro area.
