"TogetheR, we'll take Edinboro University to the world -
and we'll bring the world to Edinboro University"
- President Jeremy Brown

One of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania's many goals is to develop within its students knowledge, fluency, inquiry, an appreciation of ethical, aesthetic, and cultural values, an understanding of basic scientific principles, and an awareness of international perspectives leading to good and contributive citizenship. In fulfilling its responsibilities, Edinboro University will:

  • encourage matriculation of international students through services and cross-culture exchanges. The University will maintain programs and services which enhance student potential.

  • develop international relationships with appropriate institutions and agencies for mutual enrichment, promoting education, health services, and technology.

Edinboro University of Pennsylvania has been committed to internationalizing the campus for more than 40 years. International Student Services at Edinboro University is founded upon recognition of diversity of the world in which we live. The curricular and the co-curricular activities offered by the University reflect the cultural diversity of the University community and the commitment to intercultural and international understanding.

Edinboro University provides a comprehensive international program encompassing a wide variety of programming and services to international and domestic students and the surrounding communities. It also provides educational opportunities in cooperation with colleges and universities abroad.

International Students

In the Fall 2007 semester Edinboro University of Pennsylvania had 82 international students from 30 different countries. This special population brings global diversity to our campus and community.

The International Student Services Office is responsible for the recruitment, matriculation and retention of this student group. The Office is available to the international students in all capacities; immigration matters, academic and personal support, orientation and acclimation to the USA and university life.

We benefit from the International students as they provide the campus community the opportunity to learn about other cultures.
