Graduates will receive a diploma cover at the Commencement Ceremony. Upon official verification that your degree requirements have been met and provided you have no holds on your University account, your diploma will be mailed to your home address unless you request otherwise. This process takes approximately three to four weeks.
The process of mailing diplomas will occur after final grades have been recorded and all graduation clearances are confirmed. No holds must be found on your student record. If you wish to pick up your diploma, you may do so at the Office of Records and Registration. If you have any questions, please contact Barb Polakowski (814) 732-1972 or Amy Howe(814) 732-1979.
If something should happen to your diploma any time after receiving it, you can request a replacement diploma. Your diploma replacement request must include:
- Your printed name as you wish it to appear on your diploma
- Student I.D. number
- Date of birth
- Date of graduation
- Degree earned
- Current mailing address
- Check or money order in the amount of $15.00 made payable to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania
Sign your request and mail the request and your check or money order to:

If, after you receive your diploma, your legal name changes, and you wish to have a diploma that reflects your new name, you must submit a Request for Change of Name, Address, or Social Security Form (note the requirements for acceptable documentation) along with your request for a replacement diploma (see instructions above) to the Office of Records and Registration. Once the name change is recorded, your replacement diploma will be mailed to you.
