Orientation

What is Orientation?

Welcome to Edinboro! Orientation Invitations are now being mailed to all students who have paid their $100 advanced tuition deposit. If you are on this page looking to confirm your attendence, please CLICK HERE. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you this summer!

The Orientation office provides leadership and resources that assist new students as they enter the university.  We encourage student success within and outside of the classroom through a variety of programs and initiatives that include orientation, first- year experience, services to for transfer students, and working with the parents and family members of our students.   We are continually collaborating to showcase the great things that happen at Edinboro University!

OUR ORIENTATION PROGRAM:  all students entering the university from high school, from another institution of higher education, and those who are pursuing university studies for the first time are required to participate in orientation.  As a result of participating in the program students complete placement testing, learn about campus life and expectations, meet with faculty to review academic expectations and opportunities, receive academic advising, interact with returning student leaders and other new students, participate in technology training, receive an Edinboro University identification card, and learn about the host of resources available to promote student success

PARENTS AND FAMILIES ORGANIZATION:  The Parents and Families Organization was established to bridge the gap between the University and the families of our students. Members of this organization participate in campus events, such as Open Houses and Homecoming, as well as lend their perspective to university staff and fellow parents.  Everyone can play a vital role in the success of our students and university.
