          Graduation Process

Completing your program’s curriculum and approaching the end of your time at Edinboro University is very exciting. Complete the steps outlined on this page to help with the process that will result in the conferment of your degree.

All students, whether or not they plan to attend the Commencement Ceremony, must complete the following steps in order to graduate:

          1. Verify completion of graduation requirements with your advisor.

All graduation requirements must be complete and posted to your record within two weeks of the graduation date.

          2. Apply for Graduation.

Students intending to graduate must apply for graduation online at my.edinboro.edu. NOTE: The deadline to apply for graduation is the end of the second week of school for the respective semester/session in which you intend to graduate. All graduation applications received after the deadline are subject to a $100 late fine.

          3. Take care of existing financial holds.

You can view any existing holds on your S.C.O.T.S. account, click on student records and select “View Holds.” Your diploma cannot be mailed if you have any holds on your account.

          4. Complete your Perkins Loan exit interview.

This step is only necessary if you have a Perkins Loan. Please contact ECSI at (888) 549-3274 or click here to complete your exit interview.

          5. Attend the Graduation Fair.

At this event, you will receive your commencement tickets, order your cap and gown, complete your financial aid exit interview along with other important graduation tasks. Also, undergraduate students can record their 10-second video introduction at the Fair, which will be played at the Commencement Ceremony when you receive your diploma.
