Ms. Michelle Ritzel, M.A., was named Edinboro University’s Interim Dean of Student
Engagement in September 2020. In the role, she oversees all aspects of campus life,
ensuring high quality co-curricular programming and promoting opportunities for students
to grow as individuals, leaders and scholars.
A knowledgeable higher-education professional with nearly 25 years of student affairs experience, Ms. Ritzel has served Edinboro in various capacities since May 2004. Most recently, she was the Director of Porreco College Operations, where she led campus logistics and helped students achieve their academic and professional goals.
Ms. Ritzel holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with minors in chemistry and biology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Arts in College Personnel, Counseling and Educational Psychology from Slippery Rock University.
She enjoys traveling with her husband, Jim, watching sports and spending time with her beloved beagle.
