Clinical Medical Assistant Program

Clinical Medical Assistants work in a variety of health care settings under the supervision of a licensed physician. Medical assistants with a clinical background perform various clinical tasks including assisting with the administration of medications and with minor procedures, performing an EKG electrocardiogram, obtaining laboratory specimens for testing, educating patients, and other related tasks.

Phlebotomy Technician Program

The phlebotomist is a vital member of the clinical laboratory team. Phlebotomists are employed throughout the healthcare system including in hospitals, neighborhood health centers, medical group practices, public health facilities, veteran hospitals, insurance carriers, and in other health care settings. Phlebotomists work directly with patients using the highest level of care to provide assistance if patients have adverse reactions after their blood is drawn.
