A Day in the Life

Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC)

As a cadet in the Fighting Scots Battalion at Edinboro University, you will follow a series of ROTC classes, exercises and opportunities that will help you become more engaged and more ready to serve and lead.

Military Science Classes

Time: During normal school hours (varies by class and year); Tuesday and Thursday
Frequency: Once or twice a week
Length: One hour
Uniform: Army Combat Uniform (ACU issued at no cost to Cadet)

Physical Training (PT)

Time: Approximately 0545 - 0730; Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Frequency: Minimum 3 days per week
Non-Contracted: Roughly at least once a week minimum
Contracted: All sessions mandatory
Length: Roughly 1.5 hours
Uniform: Army Physical Fitness Uniform (APFU issued at no cost to Cadet) 

Leadership Labs

Time: 1530 - 1730, Thursdays
Length:
2 hours
Uniform:
ACUs; Assigned packing list (all gear issued to Cadet) 

Field Training Exercises (FTXs)

Time: Thursday after classes until Sunday afternoon (usually)
Frequency: Once a semester
Length: 3-4 days
Uniform: ACUs; Assigned packing list (all gear issued to Cadet)
