Greek Life

 

Since 1925, Edinboro's Greek Life has been one of the largest communities on campus. With the current five sororities, four fraternities, and a growing National Pan-Hellenic Council, there's something for everyone. Our Greek Life prides itself through the service, academic and social opportunities it provides. If you want to develop leadership skills and form lifelong friendships, you've come to the right place!

Sororities

Alpha Sigma Alpha

Our sorority is a strong group of women founded on the values of growth, balance, friendship and joyously living each day to its ultimately good. All our sisters are involved in many clubs, jobs or volunteer programs within the community and on campus. We are a sisterhood that loves and supports one another and helps each other to be better each day.

Alpha Sigma Tau

Alpha Sigma Tau empowers women to excel in their lives. Our sorority invests in women by instilling the skills necessary to navigate life and inspire members to enrich their own lives and the lives of others. Our purpose is to promote the ethical, cultural and social development of our members.

Delta Zeta

Delta Zeta is a group of strong, beautiful women who embrace one another's individualities and offers a close-knit, supportive sisterhood. We are very passionate about our philanthropy of speech and hearing, in which we are partnered with Starkey Hearing Foundation, as well as our national service project, the Painted Turtle Camp.

Sigma Sigma Sigma

Our members are a group of fun-loving ladies who are strong, independent, and kind-hearted. We strive as an organization to develop leadership skills and help our chapter women become better all around. We also take pride in helping our community thrive.

Zeta Tau Alpha

Philanthropy: Breast Cancer Education and Awareness
Colors: Turquoise blue and steel gray

The sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha are a diverse group of girls whose values include service, academics, personal growth and commitment to friendship. Although we might be very different from one another, we share the same values, which is what unites us as a sorority. In our sorority we respect our fellow sisters and make sure that our sisters feel important and validated. Within our sorority, we provide many opportunities for networking, leadership roles and building on collaboration skills. If we could describe ourselves in 10 words, we would say: outgoing, diverse, funny, organized, smart, reliable, humble, volunteers, helpful and kind.

The Kappa Beta chapter of Kappa Delta Rho has had a strong presence on our campus since we were founded in 1990. A motivated and outgoing group of men, we strive for the best in every aspect of our fraternal lives, from our philanthropies and academics to our roles in the Greek community, and every Greek Week in between. We offer a diverse but tight-knit brotherhood of men for those who aspire to live their lives in accordance to our motto: "Honor Super Omnia" - Honor Above All Things.

Lambda Chi Alpha

Chapter: Beta-Delta
Philanthropy: North American Food Drive
Colors: Royal purple, kelly green and old gold
Mascot/Symbol: Lion Rampant

Lambda Chi Alpha is a diverse group of men on Edinboro's campus, focusing on academics and philanthropy. We raise money for Feeding America and raise several thousand dollars a year for this cause. The fundraising has won the most prestigious award for Lambda Chi Alpha, which is the Grand High Alpha award. We also know how to have a good time, having a very close brotherhood of guys.

Phi Kappa Psi

Locally founded at Edinboro University in 1984 by men seeking leadership and community, Phi Kappa Psi is a fraternity of men, courteous and cultured. We come from all backgrounds and use our experiences to create a better college experience. Phi Kappa Psi welcomes men who are seeking an experience that will build friendships and enhance values that will last a lifetime.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

Chapter: Lambda Gamma
Philanthropy: The Ossian Everett Mills Music Mission
Colors: Red, Black, and Gold

Chartered in 1976, our chapter of Sinfonia has been in the process of building men of the highest type through the promotion of music in our community. We travel to nursing homes and hospitals to spread the joy of music and song to its occupants as part of the fraternity's national philanthropy, the Ossian Everett Mills Music Mission. Sinfonia offers the opportunity to any young man to be a part of our brotherhood and experience a camaraderie that lasts a lifetime.
